Poured Resin

Poured resin pieces are created by layering successive, colored pours on top of each other. Each transparent layer has to dry before advancing to the next layer. Sometimes up to six layers are required. The resulting mixture of overlapping colors makes for visual surprises. This layering technique creates depth and movement within a two-dimensional surface. Some areas remain crisp and defined, while others blend into fluid transitions. Eventually, the composition floats in an ambiguous space, forcing your eye to travel both laterally and transversely.
